It was an auspicious date. DLSU had just won the UAAP basketball championship after a 7-year drought so green was the color of the day. This well-attended annual get-TUGedder at Red Rhino, organized by our unsinkable Johnny L., became a double-header celebrating Christ’s and all TUG’s, birthdays in the month with a bonus of De La Salle University’s victory. This night surely the ’76ers were once again in their Senior Year, quite literally this time.
Oh, it was also a day to remember the tragedy that was Pearl Harbor that drew the US and their Philippine territory into WWII but I guess that may have been of some relevance for the UP Maroons to console themselves with the realization that there were worse things in life than losing.
In the words of our man at the scene Mr. The Body (4D): “Thank you Rod… thank you Johnny for organizing! Another successful and Animo spirit-filled gathering of TUG-mates. Great food, great music by the bands but most especially, great bonding time of batchmates. Merry Christmas everyone! Animo!!!🙂👍”
